Wheeler Imagining Possibilities (W.I.P.)

Mission:

Wheeler Imagining Possibilities LLC. (W.I.P.) seeks to engage educators and organizations in creating equity-minded, inclusive environments where identities, community coalitions,, cultural awareness, and critical thinking are not only celebrated but also encouraged through practices and policies.  W.I.P. programs and services examine the sociopolitical and historical implications of socially constructed identities and oppressive practices and work to provide suggestions on action plans for moving toward equity and inclusion.

Goals:

  • Provide illustrations and collaborations among educators to develop and implement culturally competent teaching practices that value equity and inclusion while honoring  diverse learners and learning styles.
  • Share experiences among colleagues and communities which foster more compassionate and critical thinking classrooms.

What We Do:

Wheeler Imagining Possibilities LLC. (W.I.P.) provides teacher training and coaching services for individuals seeking to develop their craft beyond their current approach. Through infusing culturally responsive and sustaining curricula and pedagogical practices, teaching and learning can become transformative (hooks, 1994). As a public speaker, Dr. Wheeler offers lectures or interactive sessions of 60 – 90 minute speaking engagements of her expertise spanning many topical areas some are listed below.
